Get to Know Dr. Meredith Todd
Dr. Todd grew up in the area and always knew she wanted to come back and open a practice. She started working in Cambridge again in 2013 and bought Harbor Dental Center in 2015. Today, she’s proud to have welcomed such phenomenal staff to work alongside her, like Dr. Bhatt. Her passion for dentistry shows in the numerous awards won by her practice and her patient-focused approach. To learn more about her, including her training, continue reading below.
Why Did You Become a Dentist?
Dr. Todd was drawn to dentistry because she loved the mixture of art and science that it allows. She says designing dental restorations is like her “arts and crafts” time and loves the hands-on aspect of her work. Her two favorite things in dentistry are helping someone smile confidently again and getting people out of pain.
Where Did You Study Dentistry?
Dr. Meredith Todd is a native of Cambridge and graduated from the University of Maryland - College Park. She received her Doctor of Dental Surgery from the University of Maryland - Baltimore College of Dental Surgery in 2011 before doing an additional one-year general practice residency at Sacred Heart Hospital in Allentown, Pennsylvania.
Dr. Todd is very devoted to continuing education, including earning a Fellowship in the Academy of General Dentistry. This is a distinction achieved by only 6% of dentists across the U.S., demonstrating a commitment to lifelong learning and improvement the directly benefits her patients. She has also pursued additional training in advanced restorative dentistry, TMJD (temporomandibular joint disorder), oral conscious sedation, treatment for obstructive sleep apnea, bone grafting, and dental implant placement.
Dr. Todd remains an active member of the Eastern Shore Dental Society, Maryland State Dental Association, American Dental Association, and Academy of General Dentistry.
Outside Of The Dental Office, What Do You Like To Do?
Dr. Todd lives in Cambridge with her husband, local optometrist Alex Carpenter, OD. They have two sons, Ben and Nate, and two doggie-girls, Ruby and Opie. Dr. Todd enjoys spending her free time doing yoga or being out on the water and enjoying nature.
