Minimally Invasive Dentistry Cambridge
Gentle Dentistry, Outstanding Results!
Some dentists tend to take a “drill and fill” approach to treating their patients. In other words, they wait until cavities and other problems are relatively advanced before they provide uncomfortable, invasive treatment. Our Cambridge team wants you to be as comfortable as possible, so we strive to avoid invasive procedures whenever possible. To that end, we offer a number of minimally invasive dentistry services that have the potential to keep your smile healthy and strong for the long run.
Curodont Repair Fluoride Plus

Teeth are made of various minerals, which can wear away as they are exposed to acids and plaque. This process is known as demineralization. Our team wants to help you remineralize your teeth so they can stay strong and healthy.
Curodont Repair Fluoride Plus with CUROLOX technology is a simple yet highly advanced way to promote remineralization of the teeth. We simply apply it to your enamel, and it promotes the formation of hydroxyapatite crystals (hydroxyapatite is a type of calcium). It also contains fluoride and a special peptide. Together, these ingredients work together to repair caries lesions, fight decalcification, and address white spot lesions — all without posing a risk of staining. This product hails from Switzerland, where it has received awards for its remarkable formula.
ICON Resin Infiltration

Do you have unsightly white spots on your teeth? They might be white spot lesions (WSLs), which can indicate early demineralization of your teeth. They can also be the result of overexposure to fluoride.
Our team often uses the remarkable ICON Resin Infiltration system to address WSLs. It uses a low viscosity, unfilled resin to fill in porous spots on tooth enamel, which can significantly fade unwanted white spots. The resin looks very similar to natural tooth enamel, the treatment involves no numbing or drilling, and it can be completed in just one appointment.
Silver Diamine Fluoride

Silver diamine fluoride (SDF) is a remarkable product that uses fluoride and silver to stop the progression of tooth decay and prevent new decay in the future. It features a simple topical application, making it ideal for patients who dislike the sights, sounds, and sensations of traditional treatments like fillings. For example, it can be great for special needs patients.
Please note, though, that SDF permanently stains cavities black, and it does not restore a tooth’s form or function. Therefore, some patients may eventually need other treatments even after receiving SDF. It may also require repeat applications to be as effective as possible.
MI Paste

MI Paste and MI Paste Plus are topical products that contain a special milk-derived protein known as RECALDENT ™ (CPP-ACP). It has the unique ability to release calcium and phosphate (and fluoride, in the case of MI Paste Plus) onto the surfaces of teeth. These essential minerals can do much to keep teeth healthy and strong while preventing the risk of future decay.
